And every other news agency. Seems like since covid started it loves a bad news story. Channel surfing and the big back drop behind the presenter is DROUGHT EMERGENCY! Fair enough some parts of the country have been declared as ‘drought zones’ which allows water companies to enforce hosepipe bans etc, my area is Anglia water and they have said the reservoirs are roughly were they should be or a little lower. They only getting around to stopping hose pipes. I’d hardly call it an emergency! These news channels have a lot to answer for in terms of mental health. Scare mongering rubbish

I have to agree with you. They seem to move from one terrible story to the next and it can be quite depressing. I tend to avoid the news other than a quick read of the bbc headlines.

Many years ago the bbc where more liberal slightly left leaning and sky news where more right leaning. Sky news was sold and they do seem to be further left than the bbc

The only time I hear the news is when I’m in my car (have to use the radio, no other way to get music).

I do try to change over when the news comes on or turn off as I just can’t stand hearing it.

Covid, financial crisis, fuel poverty, recession, droughts, global warming, potential fires etc etc it’s never ending and I can’t stand hearing, seeing or reading about it because it just makes me feel down and scared of the future… I’m only 26.
