Meteor shower tonight

I was really disappointed as we had thick clouds and fog, still have this morning. There's no lights near us, so have a great view of the skies when it's clear.

I was surprised as the moon has been so bright the last few nights but it didn’t come up as early last night (or maybe was hidden by clouds, although it seemed a clear sky). We have just one street light on the road near ours so luckily it didn’t cause too much light pollution. I hope you get to see some tonight

Reports are saying between midnight and 5.30am, but I’d check around 11pm as we saw lots between 11-11.30 last night

I remember seeing the merry dancers (albeit faintly last August but lucky to have seen what I did in high summer !) in Sanday and it was magical - we have far too much light pollution in London to see any meteor shower unfortunately and was hoping you were able to have got some great photos

If we can stay up late after the lack of sleep for days from the heat (still currently 31 here) we will sit outside and try to see this.

I sympathise, 33° here today. Although I found it a very pleasant temperature sitting on my patio in my pjs at 11.30 watching the meteors last night 😂

This is us too! Am soooo tired from not sleeping properly, luckily I haven’t had to go to work! It was lovely and cool though at 2am but it seems we missed the meteors!
