Light sabres

Here now and DA has bought a (very expensive!) light sabre from Galaxy’s Edge. It doesn’t fit in the case though.
Has anyone bought one recently that can advise on best way to get it home. Can it go as hand luggage?

If you’re flying home with Tui, I believe it has got to go in the hold. Some people have removed the hilt and managed to put it in diagonally across the case. BA I think let it go as hand luggage. We fly home Thursday from Tampa and am hoping it can go as hand luggage. 👍🏻

We flew Virgin in July with one - no issues at all . Lots of lightsabers taken on as hand luggage and the build a droid also.

Bare in mind we flew in 2016, we flew Virgin and my son brought home something similar to a lightsaber but it was brought from Busch gardens and we were allow to take it on board. It went into an overhead locker. Just remember to take it off the aeroplane as we forgot ours! 🤦
