He’s 30 they had gone out to the cinema a meal and we’ve got the
Kids
Only had them the last five weeks in Florida
DH is letting him stew for a while and no way he’d tex me he’d get so and my phone would be off
But they have used our cars we left full for weeks so not surprised
To be honest

I’d leave the cars on nearly empty next time.
I’m cross for you. 😡

Oh Helen,

That's not fair on either of you! Maybe at 17 I'd have got away with it, definitely not at 30 😳

I know what my parents response would have been and it would not have been pretty! And it would have been a long and expensive lesson for me as I don't think either of my parents would have came out to save me after being careless! (different story if it was out of my control obviously)

Hope everyone got home safe and you got a 😴 sleep eventually! 😳🙈

Dunx Xx

If it was my adult child and partner, I would phone them back, tell them to walk to the nearest petrol station (together) and buy a container of fuel - like we would have done before the days of mobile phones. If this isn’t an option, because the garage would be closed, I would tell them to phone AA/RAC etc who would help them albeit at a cost. This would be the lesson I feel they would need! There would be strong words had the following morning! 🙈

I would never leave my children stranded no matter what their age, but I do expect them to try to do everything to help themselves (as long as the circumstances are safe for them to do so).

I feel you may be being taken for a ride Gryff. If they are old enough to be parents they are definitely old enough to be responsible! I’m sure they wouldn’t have got into that situation if they had the children with them. Hope you got some sleep. Xx

Oh Helen poor you! Bloody selfish and inconsiderate - you do so much for them too. Time for tough love now. Hope you managed to get some sleep x

That's why the AA, RAC, walk, taxi, phone a mate, hotel for the night , sleep in the car options are available.
Now if they were ill, injured ,kids sick, I'd be there in a flash as no doubt you've done before.
Hide your car keys next holiday.

Sorry, I don’t follow. Are they in UK and you are in Florida with their children? If so, what do they expect you to do? Or are you in UK with their children? In which case, I expect they wanted picking up? I do a lot for my girls and if I’m honest, I would probably pick them up but make sure they knew I was not happy! None of mine are parents but I would, especially, expect them to be more responsible They are all over 30.
