We got into New York stay and scream about 4 and joined the line past the mummy for insidious and ghostbusters as it is one line once you are out of the barriers. Both houses opened about 510 and when we got to the entrance ghostbusters was 25 and insidious was 60 mins.
We got round all the houses by about 0930 due to DD friends aap.
The wait time most of the night hovered around 45-65 mins for most houses, early on goblins and monsterous were 5 and 10 mins for a good while.

DD went back in last night and did standby with another friend they got in s&s New York about 4 and she said they did 5 houses by 730.
Went in and joined her at 2330 and did goblins and then watched nightmare fuel at 1230, we then headed out via major sweets which took 15, triplets was walkon and then ghostbusters said 35 and that was a walkon at 130. Probably could have done 2 more houses if we had wanted to stay.
Sounds great, September mid week is definitely a good time to go with wait times.

Just heading in to HHN for our 10th night in a row on this trip. Rush of Fear with express is expensive at $600, but works out at $60 a night. Top 3 houses for us are Insidious, Ghostbusters and A Quite Place.
See ya in the fog….

Nope you have managed to stay dry that rain was a proper Florida downpour.

Got wet a few times. Eight of the ten nights have needed the umbrella. Always surprised at how many peeps don’t prepare for the rain.

I didn’t go in tonight, DD did armed with her umbrella. I have had my poncho in my pocket the nights I have been in.

We've never used express at HHN (tend to get Rush of Fear - so it doesn't matter if we don't do it all in one night) but have been reading a few comments saying it's needed if you want to do it all. So I thought I would share how last night went. The short version is we got 7 houses done, including the two biggest, and we were back in our room at 10pm. Could easily have done all houses if we were prepared to stay out until midnight and the show and probably a repeat or two if we wanted to stay until closing.

It didn't start that great, we joined stay and scream at 4:15, it looked a bit busy so we skipped the planned starbucks (silly idea, we should have got something). We joined the Insidious queue. At just after 5:00 we moved into the main queue, we were in the house at 5:45.

At this point we could have done Ghostbusters or waited for Triplets of Terror to open at 6 with a short queue, but instead we joined the group waiting to go to the back of the park at Louie's. I think this normally opens much earlier, but we weren't moving forward until 6:20. We went straight into Major Sweets and waited about 15 mins (this house was much better then expected, as we'd read some bad reviews).

Then we went to the back of the park and did Eternal Bloodlines and Goblins Feast with less than 5 min wait each. I wanted to do Eternal Bloodlines again, as the house looked very pretty but I think my timing was just bad so I didn't see many scares. But the queue had built up a little, so we decided to do that another night.

We joined the Museum Deadly Exhibits queue at 7:10 with a 45 minute posted wait. The queue only took 30 minutes, but half way through the rain really started and was proper heavy rain by the end. Another very well designed house.

We then stopped for some food and to hide from the rain while it was very heavy. We moved on when the rain had slowed a bit and joined Triplets of Terror at 8:20 with a 45 minute posted wait and an actual wait of 15 minutes. We were considering doing Ghostbusters next, but there seemed to be quite a few people waiting outside.

So next up was a Quiet Place, we were both really looking forward to this. Joined the queue at 8:40 with a 70 minute posted wait - but you can see most of the queue when you join and it didn't look that long. By about 40 minutes we were almost at the front of the queue, but then the house was delayed so we didn't move for about 20 minutes. So overall about an hour for this house, not ideal but we were queued behind a funny young group who kept us entertained.

We left in plenty of time to get to Voodoo donuts before they closed

I hope that helps anyone who's not sure whether they need express? Don't get me wrong, you'd have a far easier night and less queues if you had it and if money was no object I'd definitely be buying it. But last night at least you'd have been able to do all without it if that was your aim.

sounds good. I do think though its also dependent on when you go, weekend vs weekday and September vs opening weekend and late October will be much different experiences in terms of crowds and wait times.

Great input on this. I've been back and forth on express passes as think i could put that money to better use. We are there start of October midweek so hoping to get through all without express

We certainly found Friday and Saturday heavier in terms of crowds, with some waits 70-90min at their peaks.

We appreciated Express for the flexibility and the calmness it brought to the whole event - we felt we could stop and sit and have a drink, rather than drink it in line, if that makes sense.

Completely get its a big expense but it worked for our style of approach. We also had RoF + Express so over 4 nights, the extra cost for express was 'spread' and worth it / cheaper than doing individual nights.
