Ideas for Feb Half Term - Somewhere hot!

Hi Dibbers,

Looking at a 7-10 night break somewhere hot over Feb half term. Would be grateful for suggestions on where is warm during that time, especially places where it's hot enough to be in the pool/sea.

Thought about Dubai but I don't think the pools will be warm enough, looking at Barbados but it seems expensive.

Any ideas? Thanks!

We went to Dubai in December and the pools were more than warm enough! I assume they're heated? We stayed at the Westin Mina Seyahi - lovely hotel.

It's also a great time to visit the Maldives (not cheap, but neither is Dubai!) or Mexico (we like the Playacar area, walking distance to Playa del Carmen).

Always amazes me so many people take kids to the UAE. Strange example to set to them on human rights.
Agree on Thailand 100%. I went on a cruise to Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean in January and the weather was amazing

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m in 2 minds whether to go far or not. I have a 4 & 7 year old so a week isn’t long enough in some of these places.

Not sure how warm places like the canaries would be though.

We were in Dubai in December once and I remember the water park not being that warm. Assume Feb is warmer?

We did Tenerife this Feb half term, it was round 25-28 most days. The hotel had a heated pool but some people were still using the non heated pools too, it was a bit chilly for me though!

We have been to the Canaries several times in February half term. Always had lovely weather and not too far to travel just for a week. We have found Gran Canaria to be the best weather at that time of year. I would make sure the hotel had a heated pool.
