Turo Car Rental

Has anyone hired a car with Turo. Essentially renting someone’s own car whilst you are there.

I have always fancied getting a Tesla for a few days and this seems the cheapest option.

Look like a minefield to me. Insurance, breakdown cover all uncertain.

Use the search facility in the top right hand corner of this page for the word "turo". You'll get quite a few threads returned. The phrase "wouldn't touch with a bargepole" would be the general opinion.

Thanks for the replies. I have decided it is too risky. I did do a search but put in Truro rather than Turo.
