We stayed at the Parkshore resort for 3 nights. We liked it. The rooms were a bit tired but they were beginning renovations when we were there (1996) so you'll probably find it is OK.

The on-site restaurant was very good - a welcome change from theme park fare! - and the grounds (complete with turtles) were very attractive.

If you're in a self catering apartment, there's a Publix practically across the road.

Don't miss the Village on Venetian Bay shopping area, and take some time to watch the pelicans fishing.

I can also recommend eating at Tin City cant remember the name of the place but we sat outside overlooking the river watching people fishing on the hire boats. DH had a lovely fish salad, I had a chicken dish - and DS had Grouper and chips! Its the American equivelant of our cod and chips. He had never had cod before so I was impressed that he ate this and said it was nice!
Maybe someone can refresh my memory with a name of this resturant I will know it as soon as someone says the right name!

Wow Dave,

Just checked out that website you listed, there's some great information on that, and we've printed off coupons for the Trolley Tour and the Everglades Safari which both look good.

Thanks

Diane
