We went in May last year and although we did enjoy it, it turned out to be a very expensive day out for what you get. So we felt in the end it wasn't worth the price. If you are going to go though I would set out for there first ride of the morning as you are more liable to see the wildlife then. You can also pet snakes and mini gators yuck!

Hi, we did Bogey Creek last week, went mid afternoon. Had to wait about 1/2 hour for ride which lasted about 1/2 hour. We saw about 8 gators including babies (approx 12 inch long). It is located about 20 minutes from Orlando in the Country and makes a nice change from the "clean" theme parks, run by real locals. The guys driving the boats are very good and there is a seat next to him, which he asked any of the children on our ride if they wanted to sit next to him.

Cream Tea anyone ?

well worth it in my opinion - a great half day out !
There are two Boggy Creek centres - but most people go to the one with the restaurant attached - East Fish Lake Camp. The boats have very powerful V8 engines on the back, but they do give you earmuffs. Great fun.

How much does it work out at? and is it better to wait until you get there and get coupons for it?

thanks Mike...which location did you use and did you see a lot of wildlife? We have done this twice in the everglades but 2 of the party haven't, so it would be nice to do it again, and in a different part of Florida.

bcairboats/cabins.html ... we did see 6 or 7 gators, and various cranes etc... but I think the emphasis is on the thrill of the airboat ride itself... (we did a low speed/low noise airboat ride near the Gulf last trip where the wildlife took centre stage)... a cracking experience, and one I regret we don't have time to repeat this year. Mike |

We went around lunch time, it was very busy and had to wait about 2 hours for the ½ hour trip, didn't see any gators at all (so go earlier in the day) but loved every minute of it. Going back again this year and boggy creek is on the agenda once again.

we went in july last year and throughly enjoyed it as it was avery hot day even though we got there before 9am we only saw 2 gators sitting on nests with just their heads popping out of the water. but we saw a lot more wild life including a bald eagle. it was a thrilling experiance.
we hope to do a night tour this year had anyone done one of these ? lesley |
