Gatorland. Good Idea or not ?

Has anyone got any views on going to see aligators in the wild?
I have always wanted to go on an airboat ride to see aligators

We have booked an airboat ride to chance seeing them for real- didn't fancy Gatorland much - too much Bond in the '70's!

We went to Gatorland last year, IMHO I thought it was awful, this year we did the Airboats at Poincianna which was brilliant saw lots of gaitors in the wild also lots of other creatures, We had a great time and it wasnt expensive.

IMHO Do the airboats. We went to Gatorland a couple of years ago and to be honest, the Gators had no ambition to jump for the dead chicken in the first place! This is to say its not natural. They seemed over fed and lathargic and was 1/2 a day less spent in say the MK or Ioa. Knowing what we know now, we will never do it again as there is no attraction to it.

At least on the airboats you get to see them as they should be. Natural surroundings as well as feeling the wind in yer face

I think its 1 of those places that should be done only if you have time and then only the once. It is so different from anything else we've seen in Florida.
