What is your itinerary so far, then we may be able to offer alternatives.

fly into la for 7 days at the sheraton anaheim ,then 5 days at the wyndham palm springs,then 7 days the hotel mandalay bay vegas ,as its already booked i dont wanna be changing the booking to much with odd days here and there ,justheard too many bad things about palm springs so was wondering where to go instead for those 5 nights?

How about 3 nights Palm Springs and 2 nights Grand Canyon? The driving distance is long about 400 miles but should be managable if you don't mind a long drive! GC to LV is only 280 miles or 4.5 hours so not too bad plus you get to go over the Hoover Dam

DW doesnt wanna do short stays anywhere ,living out of a suitcase was the quote used lol all im thinking is do i leave the booking as it is ,or stay elsewhere for the 5 nights i was gonna stay in palm springs? for example would san diego be a better choice for the 5 days ? id like san fran but she doesnt wanna sit inthe car for all those miles

It is about a 4.5 hour (330 mile) drive from SD to LV and there is alot more to do in SD than PS.

thanks claire,just on the phone with virgin now decided to cancel the palm springs leg and opted instead for san francisco staying at the westin st francis , flying inbetween la>sf>lv so hopefully thats a more interesting combination
