Everglades airboat trips

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good operator of airboats in the Everglades?

We drove through them last year on the way to the Keys and saw a lot of "rough" looking establishments offering trips of all kinds but none looked, how can I put it politely, reputable?

Didn't have time last year but want to do it this time and want to get it right.

Any tips and recommendations welcome.

We had same problem coming back alont that road from Keys. Kept looking for one that looked ok, but never saw one

We have used three now - but can only remember the name of one - Speedy Johnson. Superb, would highly recommend it

Hmmm - don't expect them to look all shiney and sparkly like Disney. Some of the best ones we've been on have been a one-man operation from a shack

But I know what you mean about looking for one which seemed "ok" - we did that the first time hence how we found Speedy Johnson. The hotel concierge recommended us two, didn't like the look of the first one (but have since been on it, really great eco-tour type with a mad driver

), the second was Speedy's. So don't necessarily be put off if they look a little back to basics!
