Charging on board
I was just completing some of the online forms and wondered what people did re on board accounts. Do you let teenagers charge stuff to your credit card on board? Or if not what do they do - cash account? Or just come and find you if they need something?
New to cruising and haven't got a clue how it works |

There is very little a teen needs to charge. Food is free, soft drinks are free, ice cream is free. They can't buy alcohol, I wouldn't expect them to buy souvenirs without asking.
Saying that, I think my kids had charging privileges, but I don't think they needed to use them. They always have charging abilities at WDW as well, but very rarely use them. |

The only thing I would worry about is them running up a wifi bill on board

There is also the arcade where they could run up a bill.

If you're worried, I would say it's probably not the best idea to give them charging privileges!

I have always given my kids charging privileges, and they have never abused it. Only you know your kids and whether they will take advantage tbh. Cash isn't an option though.

I'm the same as Maza, I give my son charging privelages in Disney hotel and Cruise all the time since he was old enough. He has never abused our trust and if anything we have to force him to treat himself. lol.
As others said you know your own kids. |

I don't let my kids have access to my credit card at home, so there is no way I would let them have access to it on holiday either
What would they need to charge on it anyway? Food is free, drinks are free, and anything else they need, they can come and ask me.
