Crossing the pond by Disney Magic: Day 13 - At Sea

Pretty much from the time we left Madeira the ship was rocking quite a bit, so I had a broken night's sleep. It was another late start to the day with us not getting up until 9:45, but neither of us fancied breakfast so once we were washed and dressed we got a drink from deck 9 and settled in our usual spot.

We stayed there for an hour or so then, as the boat was still rocking quite a bit, I decided to go back up to the cabin and that's where we stayed for pretty much the rest of the day.

At 5:45 I went down to the theatre for the show, which tonight was Heidi Blickenstaff, who played Ursula in The Little Mermaid on Broadway. Dad didn't fancy it so he sat on deck 4 and I met him back in the cabin later.

Dinner tonight was in Animators Palate for the last time. I had shrimp, mushroom soup and fettuccine with Parmesan crusted chicken, Dad had prosciutto, garden salad and lobster tail. He also had chocolate lava cake for dessert but I was full so I passed.

By the time we had finished dinner the rocking of the boat had more or less stopped. We had drinks in the Promenade Lounge as usual and we were in bed by 10:45 ready for a day in Gibraltar tomorrow.

Day 14 - Gibraltar

Nearly home now David!

I've done two WBTA's and they were both rocky between Gibraltar and Madeira. I hope it didn't spoil your day

It wasn't unbearably bad but it was awkward to walk around and if you're prone to motion sickness or sea-sickness it wasn't nice. Even Heidi Blickenstaff was suffering on stage and said she had been ill earlier but she soldiered on.
