DDD credits
Hi,
New to dining plan, going this Aug. 2A+2C. If we plan to eat 1 QS+1 TS, will that be a good use of meal credits and will have enough credits by the end of our 12 nights holiday? Staying onsite. Only booked 1 TS at CRT but I guess cos were arriving late on our first night, that will be ok ? Thanks in advance! |

CRT will take up 2 credits so it'll depend whether you plan any offsite days. QS meals are often big enough to share and snacks can be big enough to do a lunch. We usually have breakfast in the room having bought breakfast items or sometimes get a snack from the hotel food court such as a bagel or pastry.
Have you only booked one TS meal? If so you may find it difficult to get reservations ar places you fancy. You can use the Disney app to check availability while you're there though. Have a read of this thread about dining plans for some tips http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=873045. |

Lots of restaurants get booked up quite early particularly the popular ones like Be Our Guest and T Rex. I would suggest making some reservations. I know its rather tying but we like to know we don't have to start finding places to eat when we're hot and tired. TS is a great way to relax and recharge those batteries. Have a fantastic time, not long now!😊

Thanks for your replies, I booked 1 TS per day except when we go for shopping day. So 1 QS meal + 1 TS meal per day will be ok and won't be short of credits by the end of the 12 nights right? Planning to have breakfast in d hotel courtesy of garden grocer that I will be ordering soon.

I booked TS at chef Mickey, BOG, CRT, TRex, rainforest cafe, Akershus, and H&V for fantasmic, Crystal palace . The rest are quick service. Don't want to be short of credits so is it a good idea to stick to 1 QS + 1 TS per day?

Depends on how much you all eat but we had a light breakfast, QS lunch (shared 2/3 between 2AD/2CH as they tend to be big!), a snack and a TS meal each day. We were out of Disney for 4 days last time so our credits mounted up! Ended up with lots of QS/snacks left (used latter in DTD though).

Usually I find I have a lot of snack credits leftover. Last time when we are on the dining plan, it was a lot of food! So we share QS credits sometimes for meals, saving TS credits for when we want to dine at 2TS credit places. You'll have plenty.

If you're staying 12 nights you will have 12 x TS credits and 12 x QS credits per person. It looks like the ADR's you've made so far will use 9 of the TS credits leaving you with 3 left over. It would be a shame to let them go to waste so I'd look at what's still available to book and see what you can fit into your plans.
The only thing I would say, having done deluxe dining in the past, is you need a big appetite to eat two table service meals at consecutive meal times, so when squeezing in those extra ADR's I'd avoid doing TS breakfast and lunch or TS lunch and dinner on the same day.
