How to book Yosemite and when

Hi, please could anyone advise who best to book accommodation through. Is it best to use Travelyosemite.com or another website I have come across called NationalParkreservatiobs.com? Or someone else?

Has anyone had any success booking more than a year in advance? 366 days is when I am away on holiday and wifi will be poor to non existent! We are ideally looking at Big Tree Lodge early August 2018

We were in Yosemite just a couple of weeks ago and tried booking one of the hotels inside the valley more than a year ago and we had no luck at all. Everything was fully booked. I tried phoning them direct and emailing too but there was nothing.

We ended up booking Yosemite Lodge View in El Portal. It's about 2 miles from the park entrance and approx a 20 min drive to the valley. We stayed for 3 nights.

I would recommend this hotel if you can't get anything inside the valley.

Good luck though - you might be one of the lucky ones

Just used travelyosemite. Got two nights at first and with perseverance managed a third night. Totally fantastic place.

Thanks all, I have emailed travelyosimite about 3 times but no response. Guess I will have to just keep checking if the dates become available - we are on holiday when the 366 days before kicks in with no access to the internet so not hopeful anything will be left when I manage to get on line!

I think you can book reservations a year in advance but on a month by month basis I.e. All reservations for August 2018 can be made on 1st August 2017.

Yes, The Majestic confirmed this to me on FB.

"bookings may be made 366 days out, so August 2018 is not available yet. Our recommendation is to book directly via our website at travelyosemite.com"
