Thanks boo-boo, I think we will be eating out a lot while we are there! Hoping there is a Five Guys and a Dunkin Donuts close by - feeling hungry just thinking about it!

We did Naples probably over 20 years ago.

Remember Corkscrew Sanctuary was good and we ate in a rib place, which looking at pp was Michelbobs.

We also drove onto Sanibel and a Captiva and really enjoyed it there.

1 final 'memory' was having lobster at a restaurant on a quay development.

Agree with the above. Plus there is lots of mini golf around Naples/Bonita Springs/Fort Myers.

Naples zoo is lovely 😃

Shelling on Sanibel is great

We went to Naples Zoo yesterday, is a lovely zoo, albeit a bit small however it did hit about 98 degrees while in there so went over to the mall opposite before taking a drive back to Cape Coral along the coast and stopping at the beautiful Lovers Key State Park

Thanks again all of you for replying.

tocpe321 - wow, 20 years. I have also got fond memories of Sanibel and a restaurant/bar called Pink Flamingo, which I think was on the Island.

porridge - mini golf is usually part of any holiday, we will probably do one of the Disney ones too. I remember shelling on Sanibel and the "Sanibel stoop"!

bernard301 - thanks for up to date info, Naples Zoo sounds like an ideal trip! I will also google Lovers Key.

Hi

We did have a nice meal 1 evening on one of the islands. Sorry I cant remember which, but funny if it was the same one.

I think we were there in about 1995.

Where has the time gone!

You may be thinking of the Lazy Flamingo restaurant? It's still on Sanibel Island and there is also one in Ft Myers. We like The Island Cow on Sanibel - you pass it on your way from Sanibel to Captiva! Can also recommend the Mucky Duck (right beside the beach) The Green Flash and the Bubble Room. All independent restaurants not chains!
