Universal Ca... Labor day Weekend

Hi

Debating whether to visit on the Thurs ( which'll be our first day in La) or the Friday ( as they'll be breaking up for Labor Day weekend.

Has anyone been in LA over this weekend and visited Universal. How busy is LA in general and which of the 2 days would you go?

Thanks

I've been in the USA lots for public holidays and it's the Saturday to Monday everywhere is busy .

As the USA get far less holidays than us almost everyone will still be at work on the Friday .1

I have some Universal on our first day before though and it was fine . Your up early anyway so it's easy to get there for park opening .

I didn't explain myself very well, LA is the last leg of our holiday. My 2 teens like their sleep so any early mornings are going to be a chore! Lol. We'll be arriving in LA from Palm Springs.

Thanks

We were in LA last Labor Day weekend and were shocked at how quiet it was. We weren't at Universal so can't comment on what it would be like but we had no issues with getting around, in fact thought there was no traffic at all! We drove up to Griffith Observatory and La Brea Tar Pits on the Sunday and down to Santa Monica on the Monday without any issues.

Think a lot of locals head off elsewhere .. the road to Vegas is heaving on friday night of any public holiday .
