Charged €14 on credit card from Avis

Hi,just back from West coast and noticed i have been charged €14 on credit card from Avis.I booked and prepaid with BA.Are there any mandatory charges.Picked up San Fran,dropped off in Las Vegas,any ideas

Sounds like it might be a fine. Did you miss a toll somewhere? Contact Avis (in the USA) and they will give you explanation.

I'd guess its not been returned quite full... what did the print out say when you handed the car back.

It was brought back full,When i returned the car,the guy who checked it asked me why i brought it back full,told him it was part of the agreement,he said i would have to get the receipt changed in the office in the parking lot which i did and received a print out saying it was full, so dont think its this,is there any local tax that has to be paid

We've never had to pay any local taxes when we've returned cars anywhere inc Vegas.

No tax for San Fran to Vegas. Did that route with Hertz last year. Some have a one way fee, but its usually far more than that and Avis don't have it if booked as a BA fly drive.
