Route 66

Hi folks
My wife and I are planning a trip down route 66 next year.

Just wondering if anyone has done it before and whether they have any good tips on hotels sights restaurants etc.

We are planning on 2 weeks on route and a week in the California sun at the end for some R+R.

We are going to go in August due to my wife's work.

Check the California and west coast forum . We stopped at kingsman and seligman on our trip and loved both these places

We did the route a few years ago and passed through a town called Oatman we loved it wild donkeys walking around the town

trip adviser is best bet not many do it as most iconic road is gone now but post 3 i have that set books as I'm planning the same for my 40th is i got it all planned just bit early me to book lol
need pick either a car or rv as rv will restrict what parts old road ca go on and also need to decide if book hotel as you go ( for car ) or book in advanced as the more famous hotels do sell out in advanced
