There are Dibbers on here who know Vegas like the back of their hands and we've only been once so my suggestion is a bit odd.
If you've not already been take a trip to the Grand Canyon whilst your there. Mick

Have dinner on the patio of Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris hotel. Delicious food and great atmosphere sitting across from the Bellagio fountains where you can see them and also hear the music score accompanying them.
One of the best evenings of my life. It was 5 years ago, was the best steak I ever had, and I still dream about the warm goats cheese and caramelised hazelnut starter! Every time I hear 'fly me to the moon' I am right back at that table watching those fountains. Go around an hr before you want the table and ask for a table on the patio. You will be given a pager that works while you play the slots and enjoy the free cocktails (tip the waitresses for every drink though) around the Paris casino until your table is ready.

Three actually useful tips?
Take your time, it's too hot to rush. As Mick says, you're quite close, go see the Grand Canyon Pool time isn't wasted time. |

Grand Canyon is amazing and a sight I will never forget. However to do it justice you need to see the south rim and its too far to go in a day so you really need an overnight stay. To take 2 days out of your trip is just a waste so I would give it a miss this time.
I would do a show. KA or LOVE or O. Mon Ami as suggested. We love just exploring all of the hotels which will easily take up all of your time. |

Re the Canyon.. the West rim is closer and quickest way by helicopter but in December it could well be snowing at the Canyon.. if you book a helicopter trip book it for your first day that way you have time to reschedule it.
Take clothes for all weathers, it could be hot and sunny one day and freezing cold the next . Don't make too many plans, go with the flow, I've been to Vegas a lot and the best days there have been the ones where we've just wandered up and down the strip stopping off where and when we like.. Same with restaurants don't plan just stop off wherever you like the look of. |
