My son just bought an IPad Air 2 when we were there last week. He is able to charge it with the UK chargers we already have from the IPad with retina display. I don't know if there are differences with components as the assistant told us we need to get parts for repair from the London store.

It was $499 + tax which came to a total of $531.44 for the 16GB. It was the same price in Walmart, Best Buy and the Apple store. I bought it in the Apple Store in the Florida Mall. They set it up in store. The 64GB one was $599 + tax. He is loving it.

Hi maybe worth a look as we brought two in May and they worked out cheaper going onto walmarts website and they had an offer on iPad Air 32GB for $379 +tax you had to buy online and pick up at the Walmart of your choice, just took a few days delivery to the store. I did use my pre payment Dollar card so not sure if your able to use an English Card! My seems no different to UK ones just needs an English plug.
Edit... just checked statement and the two came to $814. Including the tax.

Edited at 09:55 PM.

The only difference is the price and the charger... I got my I pad Air 2 in November and I'm loving it, just had to buy a different plug for the usb charger.

Does Anyone know if the "tax free" in August works with Apple items, I need to get a laptop and iPad? If it does how do I purchase them? Thanks

You can use any USB plug to charge the iPad. Another Apple one, a Kindle one, a Poundshop one. They all do the same job.

Don't forget your VAT & import charges when calculating the bargain price of US bought iPads. (There isn't really any secret to why they are cheaper over there... )

Yes and you have nothing to do, they just won't add sales tax at the till, I got my iPad Air last year at the tax free weekend, kindle too!
