Anna Maria island day trip

Is it worth driving to and spending a day here? Is there parking for the beach?

We only ever go for day trips. It's about 2.5 hours from the Davenport area. If you arrive through Bradenton City (not Bradenton Beach) you will come to these lights. Go straight over and there's free parking (or at least it was free in Nov 14

). You can catch the free AMI trolley here as well. Again free back then.

If you go for the day... make sure you got to Two Scoops for an ice cream. They are to die for!

Looks great. We are planning a day trip to AMI too. Read about Two scoops so def on my to do list.
