We have never experienced it being busy as it is out of school holidays. I am sure it is a bit busier than during the week but we have managed to go on everything we've wanted and never really had any queues.
same here, first day is always MK

last few trips it has fallen on a sunday, which is always rammed, but we are always up early and get most of the bigger rides done before the crowds build, then the next weekend, we shop and waterpark

We avoid waterparks on a weekend and this year will be avoiding MK on a Saturday.

I really don't understand how MK is a recommended park on Saturdays. We did 3 last year end of August (worked out our first and last days and my birthday were all on a Saturday) and MK was heaving. No fun at all.

I think it's the good old advice of get there early, whatever park you choose. If you turn up at any park for opening, with a plan for your favoured rides, then you'll get almost everything you want done in the first two hours, without Fast Pass. If you fast pass from say 11.00am on, then pretty soon you're done and can relax & people watch & enjoy smelling the roses.
