Weekends - where to avoid?

Hello

Looking for some advice on what to do at the weekend. Will be staying in Disney for 2 weeks in September and know weekends will be busier, but we'll still need to do SOMETHING!

What would you recommend DEFINITELY staying away from?

Over the 2 weeks we're planning:
Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Epcot
Universal
Shopping at outlets.

Thanks

I would definitely follow the advice on yhe busy day guide, so go with the most recommended.

I do avoid water parks there weekends as lots of Florida residents will visit at weekends. But they are generally least recommended on the busy day guide anyway.

Have fun planning

Hmm, I've taken a look at the June busy day guide wombat girl and I would probably pick MK! Which will sound silly to some as lots of people say to avoid MK on weekends, but it is the recommended park on Saturdays when there is no most recommended. It's a big park, so more space for everyone and hopefully it won't feel too busy. Plus, if you time it right, get there early and then book your fast passes in the morning using all 3 by lunch you will be able to book up more fast passes as there are lots of FP attractions there. Even if you use FP on the barnstomer if you've used your first three on the mountains or 7dmt then the rest are bonus fast passes which means you won't be waiting around in queues.

Hope all this makes sense. Some people recommend fast passes for afternoon as this is when the park is busiest but I think you would get good use out of the additional fast passes if you book your first three at 10, 11 and 12. We've had 7 or 8 fast passs in MK using this strategy and we only do half days in parks. DS likes a swim in the pool in the afternoon!

Hi - it depends on which weekends in September. The first weekend is Labour Day weekend and traditionally busier all round. If a later weekend then there is a bit of flex.

Plus the universal dates arent out yet so they may help influence your decision once available.

In essence its just pure conjecture and a gamble except for Easter and Xmas.

I would just go for it, after all you have travelled 5000 miles to get there, why be put off by a high attendance?

What happens if it rains and they all leave?

What if, what if

We normally go middle of September and arrive on a Friday. First park is always Magic Kingdom on the Saturday. I can't really say that I am at Disney until we go to MK even though I know we are at Disney as we stay on site. It just something about seeing the castle. We have never experienced it being busy as it is out of school holidays. I am sure it is a bit busier than during the week but we have managed to go on everything we've wanted and never really had any queues.
