How long at Kennedy Space Centre
It's our first visit to KSC on Monday. How long do we need to plan for being there? Should we leave very early to give us a full day or is arriving late morning going to give us enough time there?

We were there last summer with kids aged 10 and 6. Spent all day from opening til closing and didn't see it all. Some people will say it depends how interested in space you are. Well none of us were space buffs but all found it interesting. We wandered around the rocket farm first thing. Got on the first bus tour (the included one not anything extra). Few hours including shows and lunch at the Apollo Saturn centre. Bus back to Atlantis exhibit. Few hours there. Astronaut talk, memorial, shop. Didn't have time for imax movies. Intended to leave mid afternoon and go to Cocoa beach - didn't have time, stayed til closing and just headed back to Orlando. My 10 year old said it was his favourite day of the whole holiday.

Been to Florida many times now, but last year was the first time we've been to the KSC.
Probably one of the best and at times moving experiences we've ever had, and none of us are "space" buffs. A full day isn't enough in our opinion! |

Have to agree with above. DH really wanted to go to KSC the rest of us were not that bothered. We loved it ! Arrived just before it opened thinking we would be away for lunch and off to the beach and were there till it closed. We enjoyed the whole day. So much more relaxed than the parks, we left food in the cool box and had picnic lunch and went to Shilohs steakhouse in Titusville afterwards for what was one of the best meals of the holiday.

Last time I went it was a full day as I took the full tour around the launch pads and then spent time in the Atlantis exhibition. Like the others have posted it can be as short or long as you want. I have also spent half a day there with friends who did not enjoy it as much

We got there for opening and left at closing and could have easily spent more time there, it is a great place to visit.

I would definitely allow for a full day, and also time to go back for what you've missed. if i had my own way we would stay overnight at Cocoa and go back the next day.
