What is Disney Springs & what can you do there ?

Hi, have heard a few things about Disney Springs & for people that are not planning Disney parks X. We are only doing Universal this time around due to the price of tickets, as much as we would love to go Disney just can't afford to do them all, so age of our two kids & our daughter having her 16th birthday while in Orlando, Universal would be better for us, but I'm still longing for some Disney magic?, X so would love to know what Disney Springs entails, & what can we do there etc Xx 😘 Thanks Guys x

It's a retail, restaurant, cinema and bowling complex for which you don't need a WDW ticket and, at present , free to park.

Used to be Downtown Disney but it's been re-branded as Disney Springs. Shops, shops and shops (mostly the top end and thus expensive). Restaurants and restaurants. There's a bowling alley and a cinema complex. Used to be the entertainment area of Disney but there is little entertainment to be found these days.

I think it is a great area we went often last November. At night they have loads of live music acts and from the top of the furthest garage you can see all the fireworks at Disney. I still think it is a great entertainment area even with the changes.
