Personally I wouldn't go all the way back to The Land for lunch if half way round World Showcase. Even from the Showcase Plaza it's still a walk over to The Land pavilion. The boat is rather slow and takes ages if you just miss it.
I would plan lunch a bit later on when finished walking round (perhaps start your journey around a bit earlier) or an early reservation before you start.

wow great advice
im so excited, i have just managed to change the booking to 12 noon. That means we can do rides etc in future world then have lunch then take our time going around the world. snacks for tea then fireworks, where is the best place to watch the firworks please thanks everyone |

The best place for the fireworks depends on the wind as there are a lot of low level fireworks if the wind is blowing towards you you get a lot of smoke.
So pick somewhere with the wind behind you and a clear view of the centre of the lagoon. |
