I'm not a perfume person at all but I love your holiday scent idea, I might try that in future.
I think you were rushed as they don't call your flight for boarding from the lounge until a little later to give you more time to chill out. They never seem to factor in the walk to the gate though! Glad you had a smooth travel day  It's a shame you didn't get your room request but the location does sound pretty good. We're staying at SSR this year so interesting to hear your thoughts.
