A Whole New World, July 2016! ~1. Magic Kingdom & T-rex

Travel Day

Sunday July 3rd.
After a really tough travel day I'm glad to say we all had a great sleep We all woke about 7am and were raring to go!

We took the short walk to Artists palette to collect our mugs and we also got some breakfast.
Bounty Platter for Nigel.
Waffles & bacon X 2 for Joseph & Liam.
Apple turnover for me (I also stole Nigels biscuit!), everything was yummy.

We realized how lucky we were with our room as well, 2 mins walk to the main building and right beside a pool and bus stop!
Grandstand...

After breakfast we went back to our room to deposit our mugs and headed on over to the bus stop, the bus for Magic Kingdom pulled up after 5mins.
I was so excited about getting to Main Street and seeing the castle, it was just amazing!
All the planning, saving and sometimes stress of getting here was worth it at that moment.

On our way...

Nigel couldn't believe the similarity's to DLP.

Once we'd had a good look around and a few MM photos we headed over to Tomorrowland and the boys went on Buzz, which was a walk on.
Liams there too, somewhere

Next was the horse carousel, then our 1st FP, Peter Pan!
We then walked over to 7DMT and used our 2nd FP, we all loved this ride, it was great!

It was really starting to heat up now so we went into the big top and cooled down

As it was a walk on we decided to hop on this...

Liam was starting to feel the fierce sun so he had a cool down here...

He was absolutely drenched but soon dried out
We still had an hour to kill before our lunch at BOG so we decided to say hello to these two, there was only a 5min wait!

We also got the boys some ears which we had personalized, here they are wearing said ears... Nigel had to wear Josephs because he then decided he didn't like them Pre teens

It was now time to see the Beasts gaff!
Not too shabby...

Okay maybe a little!

We got the Turkey, The beef and the Ham & cheese toasties with fries to share between the four of us and it was more than enough. We shared three meals a lot this holiday and we were never hungry or wasteful.

Holy Moley those cupcakes are sweet though! I have a sweet tooth but even I struggled with these, they made my teeth hurt!

It was a lovely experience and we all got the wow factor.

We now had a FP for Little Mermaid, it was a very sweet ride and we all sang along to "Under the Sea"... you can't help it!
We were then able to book a 4th FP on the App so we got to ride Barnstormer!
I felt we got loads done and it didn't feel as busy as I thought it would be, but we were ready for a break so headed back to SSR.

After a little rest and freshen up we made our way to Disney Springs for our ADR at T-rex. It was so warm even now at 4:30pm!
We were starting to feel tired and I have to say we really didn't do our meal justice.
We had a lovely server who got us all drinks and recommended a cocktail for me, which came in a souvenir glass!
We were sat right at the fire pit and could see the cooks which was nice.

It was just okay if I'm honest the fish was just like frozen fish and the pizza too.
We were so tired now so decided to get the dessert to go, we got the doughnuts with chocolate & caramel sauce, we ate a few once back in the room but the rest went in the bin

We had promised Liam a build a dino before we left so thats were we headed next.
Liam is so indecisive and it took him bloody ages to make his mind up, I was quickly losing the will to live at this point
Finally...

We got the boat back to SSR and were all tucked up in bed before 10pm after a very magical 1st day x

You lasted so well for the first day. We're usually in bed at the kids usual UK bedtime (& then wake up starving around midnight!) x

Hahaha! I think the 3hr delay the night before may have helped us, we were exhausted

We were super lucky with our room allocation, we couldn't have got better we loved everything about it, literally a few steps to the pool and a few mins to the main building
