Mobile DLP Annual Pass - help us decide!

We can’t afford two Infinity passes. Thinking of getting two Magic Plus.

I know if we got one Magic Plus and one Infinity, we would then have Photopass free, and free guest storage. This is tempting.

However - we will probably only go twice in the 12 month period, so that’s 2 instances of storage at, what, 9 Euros a case I think? (We will only have one case).

As for Photopass, not impressed with it previously but I wonder if they are improving it this year? There is now a magic shot available. They keep trialling castle shots too but so far haven’t made that permanent.

What I am trying to figure is, will the extras (buying discounted photopass, using storage) add up to the extra cost of one Infinity?

My maths says probably not.

The food discounts and merch discounts are not a big factor as we get Shareholder discount amyway.

EMT is important to us so we wouldn’t go below Magic Plus.

The preferred viewing is the main thing that would tempt us to buy Infinity. But obviously we would both need them to get that. And it sounds a torturous process getting it.

I hate staking out a spot for Illuminations and then having people push and shove you, blow smoke in your face, stand up and put their kid on their shoulders at the last minute ... ugh. When Walt’s and Blue Lagoon used to offer preferred viewing if you ate there, we did it every time and it was so much more relaxed.

It would be a no from me as the additional benefits just aren't worth the 150 euros extra...

Photopass - I don't see the value in this compared to the one in WDW, which is fantastic. This is partly because I'm a fairly regular visitor so don't have so much desire to keep a record of everything

Preferred viewing - also not a deal-breaker. I usually go off-season so don't have too much trouble getting a space for the parade or night time shows.

Discounts - also a shareholder so I wouldn't get the benefit

The Magic Plus gives me pretty much everything I need - EMT, separate entrance, only two weeks blackouts, free drink with table service meals. I'm miffed they've removed the free storage but it's only a few euros each time so not the end of the world.

I suppose the only other thing is whether you'd make use of the extra hotel discount? I never use this with the MP as I just book with expedia etc but it might be worth it with the Infinity?

Your thoughts are along the same lines as mine. Still tempting but I think we may resist.

I would go with Magic Plus to get the benefits you mention like EMT and the special entrance. That would save 300 Euros from the Infinity passes and you could then spend 59 Euros on one annual photopass, if you wanted to.

I would probably only choose the Infinity pass if I was doing a lot of trips to catch all the seasons and using a car.

My son and i both have infinity passes. Like you I debated only me getting on and getting him Magic Plus, however being able to book the spot for Illuminations and the parade is a massive benefit. For both you can just rock up a few minutes before and have an amazing view without the pushing and shoving and its absolutely worth it.

See, that does tempt me. Not so much for parade - we have seen it many times and tend to go to Town Square where there is often lots of room. But I do hate all the pushing and bad behaviour at Illuminations.

But then again, whereas Dreams was an every night must do for me, Illuminations is a once a trip thing, if that. So I don’t think I can justify the cost.
