Evening fireworks shows in Hollywood Studios

Hi folks

It appears from park information for HS that there are two fireworks shows on close together, Fantastic at 8:00pm and Star Wars at 8:30pm.

Is this correct, presumably the former is still on when the later commences? Does this cause any conflict with sight and sound and also logistical issues with crowds going to/from both attractions?

You tend to hear the Star Wars fireworks during the last 5 minutes of Fantasmic. You will struggle to see one after the other as there is overlap. It is very busy exiting Fantasmic.

Fantasmic lasts 27 minutes, so if it starts on time there is no overlap.
On exit thee is sign posting to park exit or firework viewing. You won't catch the start or get the best views of the screen outside Manns Chinese Theater, but you will be able to see fine from the street.

I've seen the brilliant Fantasmic a couple of times, so definitely going again. Is the Star Wars show any good, would it be a patch on Fantasmic?

Star Wars fireworks blows Fantasmic out of the Galaxy... Far Far Away

I wouldn't want to miss it. I have seen Fantasmic about 30 times now so I would prioritise Star Wars any day. You need to be up the front to get the best effects of the laser battles.

Where's the best place to stand then, not sure where it takes place?

right at the end of Hollywood Bvd in the hub area looking at the Chinese Theatre but not too close as you need a wide perspective to take it all in.
