Ride of passage!

Over here the now, wasn't a fan of the avatar film so despite all the rave about flight of passage wasn't too excited for it but oh my god how amazing is it!

The experience is so intense, waaaay better than the Na'vi river journey one!

Count on Disney to create an amazing experience even if the IP isn't a favourite! 😉

I normally avoid simulators but I have anti-sickness tabs on my packing list purely for this. Even the POV video on youtube looks incredible, can't wait to experience the real thing.

Wow will be a few years before we get to go back again, having just done the last two years back to back, but that looks like a defo ride. Is it a seated ride like Soarin?

Yes, and no. It is seated but the seats are basically similar to that if you were to be on a motorbike etc. You're required to straddle the seat and sit on it as if it was a bike and restraints come up against your thighs and back. It's similar to soarin in the screen sense but is also 3D and much more movable.

Can you hold hands with a child on this ride? My 6 year old really wants to go on, but you mention the seats are like bikes? I've not had a look at the ride as I don't want to spoil it, but I don't want him to be distressed. Think I may need to have a sneak preview

Yes and yes.

It is seated and like Soarin, if you immerse yourself in the experience, you feel as if you are on your own when in fact you are a few inches fron your neighbour.
