Volcano Bay - Universal Photo Connect

Hi dibbers,

Does anybody know if there are photo opps at Volcano Bay? We're getting the 3 day Universal Photo Connect package and wanted to know if we should do Universal - Volcano Bay - Islands of Adventure consecutively to get the best value for money.

You can use PhotoConnect at Volcano Bay. I asked them on twitter a few weeks back. Don't know where the photo locations are though.

There are 3 locations at Volcano Bay to use your photo pass. One is just I side the park and the other 2 within the park.

We went earlier this week and they were trying out some new photo pass features in that the slides had cameras and (somehow) recognise you and add ride photos on to your account. We had a single picture which was on our account and I queried it, only to be told that they do not yet have the permissions to allow the photos to be used. The photo is still on our account still, but is watermarked and cannot be downloaded. I was told it will be removed before the week is out.

We loved Volcano Bay. A couple of rides were down and a couple more had huge waits, but we did more there than we have ever managed to achieve in a first day at Aquatica or the Disney water parks. Capacity still is an issue, but the park didn't feel overly busy (except for getting a tube for the wild river).
