Huge Favour to Ask

Hi this is going to be a really cheeky post - but is anyone going to be visiting Tokyo and or Tokyo Disney/DisneySea in the next few months and would be willing to pick up and send me any free leaflets that they come across?

I’d be eternally grateful and would happily pay postage/delivery costs to anyone who could help out.

I should have flown out on 21st July but had to cancel for medical reasons - But am planning on going nxt April instead.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out, and no problems if people can’t - figured it was worth a shot to ask

Hiya We are scheduled to go on the 1st till the 3rd. Happy to send you anything I can get my hands on. We just arrived yesterday morning so a bit all over the place due to time difference lol. It's gone midnight here now. Let me know what your after and on my return I'll pop it in the post

We're going next month and i'll keep an eye out for you
(hopefully i'll remember, sorry if I don't!)

The last two times we've visited it's been somewhat difficult to find English maps etc though, we've only ever had the ones from our hotel or that were given to us by CMs.

I also had a hard time finding English maps and time schedules when I was there. On my second last day I visited Guest Services in Disney Sea to add a day to my ticket and discovered they had a stash of English maps and time schedules there! So could try them in the first instance. (Before that I had asked multiple CMs in various shops but no one seemed to know where I could get English maps and time schedules although they were otherwise very helpful as always)

Oooo thanks for that. Glad your enjoying it so far (gutted that I’m not there). Any leaflets, maps, guides etc would be really appreciated either in Disney or even a train/railway map. Are you staying at the Sunshine City Prince Hotel still? That’s where I’ve got planned for nxt year so if you are and they do a mall guide that would be fab. Obviously if you’re too busy enjoying yourselves I totally understand, just figured I’d be cheeky lol
Enjoy yourselves and don’t forget to fill us in on how it went for your first time 😄

A map of Sunshine City you mean? They have those in Sunshine, so i'll try to remember to pick you one of those up too (we land at 8am so i'll no doubt fall asleep in there waiting for our hotel to be ready haha - not even joking, it happened last time )
we ended up just using their website to find our away around though ^_^ it was a bit easier from what I remember

That would be brill if you can - yeah I’ve downloaded the app/map thing but I’m a saddo and I do like to look at proper maps lol
I’ll be bugging you about how to get around etc when you get back as it will be my first time. Think I’ve got routes on my days out and about sorted just need to check that I’m visiting the right places together on the same days to maximise my time and journey costs.

Definitely hire a portable wifi though, and use Hyperdia for all your train and transport plans

Yes we are staying at sunshine still. I was weary as the review's were quite mixed but it's quite nice.

It helped to get the sour taste of customs out of my mouth when we arrived Basically, we were going through the green channel and I was asked why I ticked no to all the things you tick no to unless you have something to hide. I explained because I haven't got anything . She then asked what my language was , I confirmed English. She then gets a book out with photos of all the illegal stuff you could think of and asked do i have any. Again, I said no. D'S 10 was alarmed by this point. She then asked do you mind if I check! So if she thought I was lying, it would have saved time if she just checked in the first place. So she went through everything with a smile after then questioning why I'm staying in Tokyo for 15 days (because I've paid for my holiday to do as I wish perhaps) I tried to see it as it's customs get over it and no, it's not the first time I've been checked, but just get on with it, don't show me pictures,ask and then ask to check!

Previous to that, everyone couldn't say welcome to japan enough Sunshine city, which I do have maps for lol is nice. We found a restaurant that took pity on my chopstick skills and gave me a fork When we first got to the hotel, the receptionist upgraded our room to the 33rd and bought us up in the lift to our room. I'm really pleased with it

Sorry about your customs problems - that would be my worst nightmare, like you said why not just check anyway if they don’t believe you, would be less stress and hassle.
Glad that the hotel is proving to be more of a success and well done on the upgrade - you get your own lift don’t you for the higher floors?
Enjoy yourselves and get your son into the Pokemon store (try not to spend too much) lol
