I’m no dancer (apart from ballet until my 20’s) but what Shirley said was correct. It was Dianne that let Dev down with her choreography.

I think that’s why she was crying so much at the end.

Whoever gave them the song wasn’t exactly being nice either... not the best to cha cha too! Neither was Catherine’s Charleston or Karim’s tango.

Yes I agree, some really bad music choices. Senorita and Dancing with a Stranger could make good rhumbas.

The Choreography was no worse than some others. He performed it well enough but there are two issues.
1) As mentioned his music was awful. Not every 4/4 piece makes.a Cha Cha This music felt more like a rumba
2) The music also gave it a certain feel. He danced to that feel. Laid back and cool.
He should not have been in the dance off but the judges made the right choice.

When I heard who was in the bottom 2 from the Saturday Spoiler, I couldn't even remember what Dev had danced. Emma, I recalled straight away. Even with a bit of thought, all I could remember was they were in red. Nothing about the music or the dance. It was bland and forgettable, and I think that's what scuppered them.

I don’t know why they would pick a Sam Smith song - his music is always so depressing

It didn’t help that they were all in red and then dancing in front of red screens.

Was very odd marking though throughout the evening.

That is probably because we don’t actually see as much as the judges
