Virgin Manchester to Orlando prices help?

So flights have just been released for our dates Oct-Nov... £1300pp for premium is higher than I was expecting (probably anticipated closer to £1000), but what do you all think?

Go for it or wait it out? We are restricted to specific dates, so I'm a little nervous of waiting... but don't want to jump straight in if the prices might settle down in a few days (they've literally just become available for our dates today)

They,re wanting an eye watering £1650 from Glasgow for our dates in October

Been checking the prices periodically and for economy classic they have risen by £300 up to as much as ££700 on what we paid

I'm still waiting for Manchester to MCO flights for 20th of Sept - 4th of Oct (fixed dates). They're currently hovering at around £660-670 inc baggage and seats which I think is an eye watering price. They did drop down to £560pp back over on the Black Friday weekend but I couldn't book as needed to discuss with the fam if they were happy. I'm hoping they drop back down to that price at Christmas where I will most likely just give in and book.

Can’t believe the prices of theses flights. I suppose until someone fills the boots of TC this will be a regular thing. I’m hoping To pay half of what they are quoting. And even then il feel ripped off.
The whole Orlando thing has become one of the biggest rip offs of all time. Unfortunately my family and I have been hooked for 25 years and I don’t want to stop going

we are going end of August and booked in the Virgin holidays black friday sale. direct flights and 19 nights hotel from glasgow £890 each , so pretty happy with that!
might be worth holding out for boxing day sales as we booked then last year and got a good price

Also upgraded to the bubble for the first (and probably last!) time!

Sadly it seems I’ve missed the £1300 window of opportunity as the prices have already soared again.
Hoping it’s just a sign that something better is to come if I’m patient (I’m just not very good at that!)

Do Air France not have availability, still on same flight but booked through Air France. We booked with Air France for Virgin flights, they were considerably cheaper than Virgin and Delta.
EDIT: We paid £1200 each for premium during the summer holidays from Manchester. This was in the middle of the night that TC went under.

We are also hoping to go in October and was completely took aback by flight prices from Manchester they are more than we paid for our last whole trip. Holding out to see if they drop otherwise our trip may not happen next year

Many will be priced out. A near monopoly leads to this. Jet 2 really needs to come in, I’m no expert in aviation but I’d think they’d do very well.
