We had our LGW to MCO with Virgin changed at very short notice to LHR/DUB/MCO with Aer Lingus. We did fly back with Virgin. Of the two I preferred Aer Lingus. Better food, entertainment. And as people have stated the plus of doing immigration at DUB. When we arrived at immigration there were long queues and not much time before our flight. We explained predicament to an official who bumped us up to the front.

Thanks for all your replies, think I’m going to book aer lingus as other airlines are working out really expensive for August. Any advice on best seats on airbus 300? We are family of 5

Is your luggage checked straight through from Manchester to San Francisco or do you have to reclaim it to go through immmigration in Dublin. The connection is 3hours going out and 1.40 on return, do you think that’s enough time?

Thanks
