When I visited London as a newby with my two girls, I started using my bank card then gave up as it was fiddly getting it back into my purse etc and got an Oyster card and had it in a small pocket in the front of my bag.

It was far easier than getting my back card out each time.

Me too. I don’t go to London often and I find it very easy to keep my card in the original oyster wallet in my coat pocket and then transfer back to my purse when convenient.

I’ve got a flexible plastic phone case so I put it into there whilst I’m on the tube and slip it back out when I’m approaching the barriers. I could use contactless on my phone but don’t trust it and wouldn’t want to be “that person” that holds up the commuters behind me
