One or two nights in Whitby

either mid-April or mid-May? And can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably priced for B&B in Whitby? I am planning on buying two tickets on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a fish and chip trip and need somewhere to stay.

We stayed at The Belfry and it was beautiful and the owners are just fantastic

Brilliant breakfast and I found the location great, just away from the centre of town but a quick walk into it.

Stay for two nights it really worth it and maybe the weather will be better in May

Split with York to visit National Railway Museum.
Mister Chips in Whitby are excellent fish and chips.

Quayside Whitby is good.
We like Seabirds Inn in Flamborough Head for sit down meal,
and 149 in Bridlington for take away fish and chips. 149 is crazy good, and huge portion.

I live locally and would recommend Anchorage House, it’s lovely, conveniently located and has great reviews. Best chippy us Trenchers. Don’t fall for the Magpie hype, Trenchers is much better!

Magpie is the best fish and chips I've ever had! Definitely lived up to the hype for us - people queue round the block for a reason (although I'm sure there's many other good ones too!)
Definitely need 2nts, we stay at the Raithwaite Estate which is stunning and surprisingly well priced.

We stayed at Lavinia house B and B. Very clean, good location and delicious breakfast. Also agree that Trenchers do amazing fish and chips
