Before you arrive make sure you link your booking to your Avis preferred account so it shows on the Avis preferred app, when you arrive just open the app, it recognises your at the airport and allows you to click collect car. The app tells you the location of your allotted car and gives you a couple of other locations of cars in the same category. These are available if you don’t like the car your allotted, just take the one you like and leave the garage. When it does give you your choices however, you need to be quick, one of my other car options had been taken leaving me with just two, I saw someone getting in and driving away.
