Just back from Iceland...WOW!with pics!

Finally got my trip to Iceland after I had to cancel last year due sickness. And wow it was worth the wait! It was freezing but didn’t stop us one but from enjoying all the sites, I already want to go back to see it in the summer without most of the snow & the midnight sun! My Highlights we’re seeing the Northern lights, black sand beach, golden circle & blue lagoon even though it was boiling hot we had artic winds blasting us from the neck up! Worth it though.

Would you mind giving me details? How did you book? Where did you stay? How long for? Is it pricey? We're family of 4 so guessing different to you as look like two adults but think we'd want to try a few days, probably, maybe.

Our daughter and partner went there two years ago. Loved it. They did all there own planning only mistakes they made was book a car at the wrong airport. Had a brilliant week but found it expensive to eat out.

Looks like you had a brilliant trip, glad you managed to see the Northern Lights.

We booked everything ourselves, flights & hotel were cheap enough but it is expensive when there. We took smaller more personal tours rather than go on the big buses to the south coast & golden circle & northern lights, but times that by 4 would be pricey enough. We stayed at the hotel Fron which was nice but basic but bang in the middle of the Main Street. They have bigger rooms for families with a mini kitchen too that would suit a family if four, you also get breakfast here included in the price, basic continental but it’s better than going out & paying for it!
Blue lagoon works out about £70 for adults, I think there might be a cheaper option without a free drink & kids would be cheaper too.
