Pre-reservation confirmed - now can I change?

I made a pre-reservation for a 2BR villa at OKW a few months ago to get the free DDP offer. The intention was to change to AKLV as soon as possible, and I knwo that the only way to pre-reserve AKLV is to pick SSR /OKW or similar and then change once AKLV becomes available.

I rang WDTC a couple of days ago and was told that it would be another fortnight before AKLV properties were available, and to ring at the end of January.

I've just had a confirmation email for my OKW villa tonight. Does this mean that I can now ring up and ask to change to AKLV (i.e. are all DVC proerties up for grabs now)?

I know the suspense is driving you mad, but if they told you 'end of January' then they mean 'end of January'. You really need to be patient for another week or so.

The interesting thing is that while for DVC members the two resorts are very similar in points price, AKL is almost twice the price of OKW if you're paying as a package.

Easiest way to check if they are available is plug your dates into the WDTC website.

It will show you everything that is available to book.
