Mobile When to go

We're not really tied to School Holidays but can't really decide what month out of the following might be better for 2 weeks in Orlando ?
A lot does depend if Disney do any offers for next year but we have the choice of June, July, Sept or Oct.
Sept puts me off a little because of the hurricane season and when we went in Oct last year it was so much busier than we expected, it was quieter when we went in Aug the prev time!
Just wondered what other people's thoughts were with these month with weather and busy parks
Thanks

Our favourite time of year to go is End of September / beginning of October. I have been to Orlando 14 times now, most of these trips were end of September.

We have been lucky though and touch wood have never been effected by hurricanes, the weather has been lovely and crowds haven't been bad.

When we went last year it was definitely quieter in our first week and got busier in our second. We also love the Halloween stuff and HHN at Universal, so this is definitely our favourite time.

One of the downfalls of this time of year is the fact you only have use of one of the Disney water parks, as the other is closed for refurbishment. The last few times we have been we've missed Blizzard Beach, as our trips have fallen when it's closed.

I am looking forward to going in May next year though, I've only done this time of year twice before though so it will be a nice change.

If I had to choose one of the four months you mention, I would pick September. This would be mainly based on lower crowds of those four months.

However it wouldn't otherwise be my pick, we went in September this year and really noticed the difference in heat and humidity compared to our most often travel time of April / May.

We have been in Feb and late October and went September last year and loved it. We did have a scare with hurricane Dorian but we loved the parks at night. We would go to parks in the morning, chill round the pool at the villa in the afternoon and go to the parks again at night.

Out of June/July/Sept/Oct, I've been in June, September and Oct.

I'd go for September personally - and this is despite having been affected by Hurricane Irma in 2017 (had to cut short my trip).

June - American schools are out (think most of them let out around May/June), so it's crowded. It's also hot. No special events are on, it's just peak summer season.

September/October - American schools are back so the hope is fewer crowds. It's Halloween season, so you get the decor in MK (and if late enough in October, also the pumpkin carvings around some resorts). There's MNSSHP. Epcot is doing Food and Wine. Weather seemed marginally cooler than June - but it's Florida and unpredictable anyway!

Between September and October - I felt like September 2017 was less crowded than October 2019, but I'm also comparing against different years so it's hard to say! That being said I was closely following various Disney blogs last year before my trip, and there were a number of blogs saying that Disney was fairly empty in September with higher crowds in October.

I'd go in October and stay to experience trick or treat. Americans love it and reportedly spend more on it than Christmas.

We went trick or treating with my 6 year old granddaughter in Celebration last time. My mind is still blown to this day, and I'm over 50.
