This Saturday followed by next Saturday, it’s really quite simple.

When is your next holiday to WDW?

For some its, the one you have as soon as you can travel, and can afford it, ie the ‘next’ one.

For the vast majority it would seem, is the one after this.

Keep taking the pills.

Context is the important part.

If someone said "this Saturday" in a pre-tense then that is clear to be the 24th, if the said "Saturday next" then that would be the 31st and pretty clear.

If someone said "next Saturday" without any context then it could mean either the 24th or 31st and would require clarification.

To be categorically saying the 24th when the only term used is "next Saturday" is presumptuous in the eyes of the beholder as it is not definitive that both parties have the same concept. The joys of the English language.

The 24th is just “Saturday” no next about it.
