Last minute Christmas trip

I am going to have lots of spare time from beginning of December once the sale of my business goes through. Didn’t expect it to happen so quickly having only put it on the market recently.

Considering a 2.5 week booking over Christmas and new year. Obviously we won’t have any fast passes, nor will we have any restaurant reservations.

Is Christmas a good time to go? Where’s good for Christmas dinner USA style?

Will all the restaurants be full with no walk ins available? Be our guest, chef Mickey etc?

If you're planning on being there actually for Christmas Day and the week after, I'd say it'll be rammed I'm afraid. Are you able to make it earlier in December instead?

Christmas holidays is one of the most busiest times of the year. People plan a long time in advance. Id say by now the only option for Christmas Day dinner would be something a little more basic, anything with reservations will be gone.
You will need fast passes and ADRs for most sit downs, again, most likely to be gone.
The weekend of New Year is rated 10/10 for queues and crowds on all sites, and around a 9/10 for the week of Christmas.

Christmas is busy but if you can go and be back in the UK for Christmas Eve the first three weeks in December are usually very quiet

We decided a couple of weeks ago to have a sneaky 10 days over Christmas. There are reservations to be had.

We got everything we wanted including Be our guest, California grill and Liberty Tree Tavern on Christmas Day.

I’d recommend using the touring plans dining reservation tool. That way you’ll get alerts as reservations become available.

People are changing reservations all the time so be patient and you’ll probably get most of the places you want

We booked two weeks ago to go for a week over Christmas and we've managed to book ADRs for everywhere we wanted except Narcoossee's.
