The ‘Everything is Possible, Even the Impossible’ Aug 19 Pre-Trip Report
Hello
This is my first pre-trip report so please bear with me! My name is Claire, I am 30 years old and live in East Yorkshire. I am a teacher and I LOVE Disney! I have been to WDW before in May 2013 - although I was pregnant at the time - with my parents, fiancé and DD Evie - then aged 4! I have also been to DLP various times. We will be returning to WDW in August 2019 however this time my father will not be attending and my son, Isaac, will! Our party is as follows: Claire (30) John (30) Evie (11) Isaac (5) Sue (56) Last time we did a package deal but a lot has happened since 2013 and we kind of have the mindset of “Oh well, you only live once! ”, so we are going all out (for us!) and are going for a DIY approach! Also using the DIBB last time to plan, we were able to do EVERYTHING we planned due to my, some would say extreme?, organisation! You may soon learn that I am a bit of a control freak - only when it comes to travel itineraries! As a result, I will be the lead planner again and I will enjoy every second! We have been desperate to go back since 2013, however we have moved house, got married, had a baby, changed jobs and so much more in the last 6 years! We expected to return in 2020, however I had a moment of, some would say madness, and I booked the first part of our holiday while on a lunch break at work! I will update and amend this post shortly to include all of our plans, as they unfold - but here is our trip in a nutshell! Day 1: Hotel stay near Manchester airport - possibly big reveal to kids? Still debating this! Day 2: Depart from MAN at 12:15 arrive at MCO est 5pm-ish Check in at POR:Riverside for x1 night - dine at DS if we have the energy. Day 3: Check out, visit AK. Later check in at AKL. Dine at Boma. Day 4: Visit HS. Dine at Hollywood and Vine as part of Minnie’s Fantasmic Dine. Day 5: ADR at CP enabling early access to MK. ADR for BOG. Day 6: Visit Epcot. ADR Garden Grill. Day 7: Disney water park day! ADR for TREX. Day 8: Checkout of AKL. Collect hire car. Pool day at AKL then depart at 3:30-ish. Check in at Grove Resort and Spa and continue pool day with onsite water park there. Day 9: Seaworld (+ penguin encounter and dolphin encounter) Day 10: Free day (thinking either Waterpark or Beach or Shopping?) Day 11: MNSSHP Day 12: Check out of Grove Resort and check in at Loews Royal Pacific! Then head to Volcano Bay. Day 13: Universal! Day 14: Universal! Day 15: Check out oh Hotel. Enjoy pool day. Depart for airport late afternoon. Fly home 19:15. I hope you enjoy my updates! Claire Edited at 07:20 AM. |
