The melting pot

Has anyone eaten here? It seems like the sort of place I’d be keen to try! I’m just trying to work out the menu and whether you can just have the fondue or if you have to have 3 courses ect! Any help would be great

Hi - I've eaten here a couple of times during September's Magical Dining Month. It really is lovely. I think they sometimes do other special offers. We had 3 courses and I'd definitely recommend it. There's a link here with some pictures:

What’s magical dining month? How much did you pay for the 3 course meal? Thank you

It is held every year from late August to end September. Restaurants sign up for it and have special offers on, I think the menus are limited to certain items, well they were for the restaurants I looked at.

Oh that’s perfect thank you! How do you sign up for it? Or do you just quote you want the magical dining offer?

However, the restaurants are not added until nearer the time, but they are usually the same restaurants, and you can view the menus before you book. There are some lovely restaurants that take part, and it's usually 3 courses for $35.

The last couple of years, SeaWorld has been included, whereby you can have a meal at Sharks Underwater Grill and gain free access to SW for the day. Hopefully they will do the same this year. The Melting Pot and other fabulous restaurants in the same area have always been included, and you ask for the MDM menu. I've also booked some Disney restaurants for considerably cheaper than the normal menu. However, it's not until the end of August and the whole of September.

Wow that’s great information that you very much! I noticed a few of the places we were going to book through Disney were actually on last years list! Do you have to pay to be part of it or you just have to book a table through open table rather than through Disney?

We booked through Open Table and had no problems getting a table. Some places will automatically give you a MDM menu, but at STK we had to ask for it. No payment required until you get the bill.

This was one of my favourite Orlando restaurants. I’m sure you can just have the main fondue and not the 3 courses but the cheese and desert courses are just incredible! I’m counting down the days until I can have the fiesta cheese fondue again!
