Question for ladies over 45

Long hair? Yes or no?

I wanted long hair for our wedding last year, with the intention of getting it lopped off afterward-but I just cant bring myself to.

It's getting dryer and frizzier as i get older and all i do is tie it up especially in the summer when it's so hot.
5 or 6 years ago i had it short but o/h didnt really like it.

It's always been a "thing"-get rid of the long hair when you get older, so yes or no?

I honestly think if your hair is well cut and the style is something you can manage, plus the colour is natural looking with a little enhancement...
It can look fabulous.
Make sure you get a good stylist that can give you a good home care routine.

I have long hair and I’m 47. It’s my crowing glory and I am not ready to give it up just yet. I’m conscious though to ensure the colour doesn’t age and that the condition is maintained. I just think of people like Jayne Seymore, Jennifer Aniston and Connie Britton whenever I start to doubt.

I have long hair (waist length) and like moley it's my crowning glory, it's not going anywhere yet! When I was in my 20s, I'd have said it would be shorter by now, but now I'm here, it's still here. X

I have very long hair (70 this year). For me, it’s because it’s much easier to manage. Just wear it up or a side plait.

Hi I’m 53 I used to love longer hair but I think mine especially is thin & therefore loses its style the longer it gets. I do definitely prefer it with a few inches off just below my shoulders, if you have it too long when it’s hot you end up with it up anyway 🥵
Here’s some pics.

I have only had short hair a few times in my life and its always looked awful... like my head is too small for my well rounded body... i am 50 next march and have it short for me now... which is just below the bottom of where my bra is? So longer than shoulder, shorter than waist. Over the last few years i have developed psoriasis and have bad patches on my neck so would never go short because it would be horrible on show... but i am also because of this embracing my grey. A lady in my office had hair the same length and all over grey and its stunning because its well cut and looked after. So what ever your age do what you want. As long as its done well it will always be beautiful xxx

I didn’t vote because it depends in the hair, sometimes grey long hair is ageing sometimes it’s a lovely grey colour. I like my hair in a bob and curly because that’s what suits me, I say do what makes you happy

This is me last year for my 40th Birthday, I have no intention of cutting my hair anytime soon - I love it! If you want long hair, go for it, whatever your age!
