Glasgow Restaurants

I am looking for something reasonably high end to meet my godmother for dinner.

Any recommendations?

We are staying at Dakota and she will be coming in from Fintry so i would think somewhere reasonably central?

What kind of food are you after?

Highest end is likely Brian Maule @ Chandon D'or - nearest restaurant to michelin experience in the city I would say. Classic french.

Best steakhouse - Spanish Butcher

Italian recommendation: Italian Kitchen in merchant city or Amarone near queen street station

Chinese high end : Ho Wong or Amber Regent, both very nice but I would say Ho Wong just edges it

Unfortunately the Ho Wong has now closed, but the chef has moved to Lychee in Mitchell Street.

My recommendations are a bit further out but I really liked both Ox & Finch and Cail Bruich.
